Innovation Excellence in Technical Textiles

We have been awarded the prestigious TOP 100 Innovation Award for the second consecutive year, confirming our position as one of Germany’s most innovative medium-sized companies. The repeated recognition highlights our long-term innovation strategy and the successful establishment of a structured, innovation-driven organization.

As a global market leader in technical textiles, we are transforming from a traditional textile manufacturer into a global solution provider for highly functional technical applications across multiple industries, including sun protection, agriculture, and industrial markets.

Innovation Is Part of Our DNA

Winning the TOP 100 Innovation Award for the second year in a row confirms that innovation is deeply embedded in our culture, processes, and strategy. With more than 130 years of experience in technical textiles, we continue to develop future-ready solutions that create measurable value for customers worldwide.

“Winning the TOP 100 award again is a clear confirmation of our long-term innovation strategy and the outstanding performance of the entire team,” says Jens Klotmann, CEO of the Julius Koch Group. “At Julius Koch, innovation is not a project – it is an integral part of our corporate culture.”

Our patent-protected agricultural protection systems – including protective nets and advanced protection systems – have reached full market maturity. Designed for increasingly extreme climate conditions, these systems protect crops against hail, storms and intense sunlight. Market tests show outstanding results: in some applications, crop yields have more than doubled, while fruit quality, size, and homogeneity have improved significantly. In viticulture, our patented hail protection system also reduces manual labor requirements, increasing efficiency and sustainability for winegrowers.

Advanced Materials and Future-Oriented Production

Our products are manufactured using state-of-the-art production technologies and high-performance materials. Independent laboratory tests confirm significantly higher strength and durability over the first ten years compared to conventional market solutions.

To support our international growth, we are preparing the opening of a third production site in Poland, focused on innovative technologies and scalable manufacturing. At the same time, we continue to strengthen our innovation organization by expanding international and cross-functional expertise.
